Why we built AI-Tails
Some losses don’t fade. They become a purpose.
Spooky was Angelica’s cat. When Spooky fell ill, the signs were there — quiet, gradual, easy to miss in the rhythm of everyday life. By the time the illness had a name, it was too late to change the outcome.
That loss could have stayed a private grief. Instead, it became a question Angelica couldn’t let go: what if the small, everyday signals a cat leaves behind could be read early enough to change the outcome?
She took that question into her thesis — and the thesis grew into AI-Tails. A system that learns each cat’s own normal around eating, drinking and routine, and makes meaningful changes visible sooner. Not to replace a vet, but so the conversation with one can start earlier.
AI-Tails One carries the same purpose Spooky left behind: that no other cat owner has to go through what Angelica did.
